We are pleased to announce that Prof. Ed Brown, Research Director, and Malcolm Bricknell, International Liaison Manager, of the UK aid (FCDO) funded Modern Energy Cooking Services (MECS) programme, will be attending the International Vienna Energy and Climate Forum, where Ed will be participating as a panellist in session 2, titled ‘Sharing Lessons from Clean Cooking Policies and Projects Implementation‘.

“I am really looking forward to this session where we will be exploring the experiences of three countries where MECS has been working extensively – Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. There are lots of fantastic possibilities for lesson sharing across national electric cooking strategy development, targeted eCooking tariffs, tax and import duty interventions and consumer awareness raising” said prof Ed Brown.
