“The Energy Dozen” - spotlighting women professionals who are driving India's clean energy transition

Finovista and Modern Energy Cooking Services (MECS) are jointly working with FSR Global, Delegation of the European Union to India and UN Women in the initiative- “The Energy Dozen”. The Energy Dozen is a flagship initiative by FSR Global in collaboration with the Delegation of the European Union to India.

The Energy Dozen is designed to spotlight inspiring women professionals who are driving India’s energy transition. This initiative focuses on celebrating their leadership journeys and amplifying their voices across the energy ecosystem.  

MECS in India launched Women in Modern Energy Collective (WMEC) which aims to support mentoring, networking, and capacity-building.  MECS India, under the WMEC initiative, is supporting the Energy Dozen to amplify women’s leadership in clean energy. This collaboration is building a stronger, more inclusive transition for India’s energy future.  Since WMEC emphasizes bringing together women from diverse backgrounds—researchers, entrepreneurs, field practitioners, and community leaders—this vision is clearly reflected in the cohort selected for the programme. This year, the two tracks were:  

• Energy Transition, led by FSR Global, with the Delegation of the EU to India and UN Women India as Co-Leads. 
• Clean Cooking, led by FSR Global, with the Delegation of the EU to India and UN Women India as Co-Leads, and Special Edition Partners MECS and Finovista. 

On 20 November 2025, an orientation call was organized to initiate this year’s programme. During the session, the program structure, key milestones, and engagement plans for the year ahead were discussed along with brief introduction of 2025–26 cohort members.
