Competition Overview
Previous MECS challenge funds have prompted innovation, early research, and piloting, all of which seek to rapidly accelerate the transition from biomass to clean cooking, particularly modern energy cooking services, on a global scale. The STARSS Technology Accelerator Challenge Fund competition built on this progression of interest by inviting organisations to test innovative configurations of existing technology and business models to pilot and demonstrate stand alone or rooftop solar based systems that will be utilized for clean energy cooking.
