Developed jointly by Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) and Modern Energy Cooking Services (MECS), a practical guide to electric cooking (eCooking) appliances and their use in Low and Middle Income Countries has been launched, which is designed to assist programme planners, procurement teams and policymakers navigating the rapidly evolving market of eCooking appliances.

In the report, electric cooking appliances are categorised according to characteristics such as energy efficiency, cooking performance and cost, offering guidance on how to choose appliances suited to local needs and infrastructure and assist the clean cooking transition in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 7.
