Request for quotations: developing policy guidance on standards for electrical cooking appliances

Date
1st August 2022
Categories
Opportunities

A number of our research partners are preparing for bulk purchase of energy efficient electrical appliances for cooking as an alternative to cooking with biomass or LPG.  As such they need to work with relevant authorities to ensure the right standards for safety, a minimal performance expectation, and longer term e-waste and recycling are anticipated.

MECS is seeking a consultant/s to produce a succinct and accessible, non-technical guideline, that covers four aspects of the emerging set of energy efficient electrical cooking appliances (at a minimum, EPCs, induction hobs, and air fryers). Quotations should be received no later than 23:59 BST on Tuesday 23rd August 2022.
