Jane Spencer
MECS Challenge Fund Manager & STEER Project Manager, Loughborough University
Jane works as the MECS Challenge Fund Manager and is a STEER project Manager. For MECS, she runs open competitions to address specific research questions and has been part of the management team since 2019. She has run eight calls and supported over 80 projects in 15 countries. As a STEER Project Manager, she administers the UKPACT project for the Kenyan Ministry of Energy. She joined Loughborough in 2017 working on the Energy Research Accelerator (an Innovate project) to develop low carbon technologies. She has a BSc in Geography.
