MECS and UNDESA are currently working together on a collaborative programme of activity with Member States and relevant stakeholders to catalyze the following actions:

  • Mobilise a global political coalition for clean cooking for all, at the highest level of government, complementing existing multi-stakeholder alliances.
  • Make clean cooking a political priority, through intergovernmental processes and at the national level.
  • Mainstream clean cooking into climate response, including through UNFCCC COP processes on climate action, finance and just transition.
  • Scale-up communications at all levels.

As part of this collaboration, we are pleased to announce a call for ‘the provision of Consultancy Services to support a collaborative programme of activity between the Modern Energy Cooking Services Programme and UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs’.
