Join MECS and partners at the Sustainable Energy For All (SEforALL) Forum 2022, to be held in Kigali on 17-19 May. The 2022 SEforALL Forum is the landmark global gathering bringing people together to take stock of progress, showcase success and identify solutions to achieve faster, broader gains towards sustainable energy for all. Registration is still open to participate virtually.

Parallel session: Including Modern Energy Cooking in Energy Planning (in-person & virtual)

Join MECS, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), World Resources Institute (WRI) and guests for our session at the Forum which will showcase ongoing and emerging efforts to use innovative geospatial modelling and integrated planning to identify promising markets for modern, affordable cooking solutions such as electric cooking. The session will also discuss how national movements in Nepal and Kenya are making use of new market opportunities (namely surplus electricity) to advance access to modern cooking services.

Capacity Building hub session: Integrating Modern Cooking Solutions into Energy Planning (in-person)

Everyone joining the SEforALL Forum is invited to join this Capacity Building Hub session led by MECS, Fraym and SEforALL where we will showcase the role integrated energy planning can play in expanding clean cooking access. Innovative geospatial integrated planning methodologies are leveraging emerging and modern technologies in clean cooking. Drawing on real-world examples, this session will showcase the role that integrated energy planning can play in expanding access to clean cooking, using cost effective high-efficient cooking appliances, while exploiting synergies with concurrent least cost electrification models. (No previous knowledge needed.)

Clean Cooking Hub at the Forum Marketplace (in-person)

Drop in to the Clean Cooking Hub (Foyer B) co-led by MECS and the Clean Cooking Alliance which will showcase the latest developments from across the clean cooking ecosystem. Watch live demonstrations of electric cooking and network with MECS, CCA and other clean cooking stakeholders.
